Marina Charalambides

Marina is an illustrator with a focus on book covers, landscape/environments, character design, and end papers. Marina is a transatlantic artist with roots in the New England art scene. Originally trained in watercolor, she aims to make dreams come true by giving authors eye-catching covers that make someone stop and read. Her artistic inspirations include Monet, Michael Whelan, and Drew Struzan. She loves stories set in the Mediterranean Middle-East and anything that harkens back to her Cypriot heritage.

Samiha Hoque

Samiha is a Brooklyn-based writer and the daughter of Bangladeshi Muslim immigrants. Although she graduated with a B.S. in Earth and Environmental Sciences, Samiha’s love for stories won her over. Now focusing on a career in publishing, she spends her time writing young adult and adult novels (with the occasional picture and chapter book!) while editing for Shaherazad Shelves. Her favorite books include Ella Enchanted, James Herriot's memoir series, and Six Crimson Cranes.

C. E. García

C.E. García is a Paraguayan-born poet based in New York. Her first book, "Juego de Palabras," was published in May 2023 with Valparaiso Ediciones, which is available in Spain, Mexico, and Colombia. C.E. García began writing as a teenager and has since won scholarships and nominations to both the Americas Poetry Festival and the Hudson Valley Writers Center.

She has work published in the Acentos Review, Alebrijes Review, and Axon Journal as well as several anthologies.

Badees Nouiouat

Badees Nouiouat is a children's book author of Algerian and Tunisian descent. The Adventures of Nur Al-Din is his debut middle-grade series. Nouiouat began writing in his final year of college to give his four younger brothers exciting stories to read filled with Islamic history and positive Muslim representation. He works in the food sustainability industry and lives in Astoria, NYC, with his wife and their cat, Luna.

Gary C. & Tanya R.

Gary Chudleigh is an award-winning author, screenwriter, and creative developer from Glasgow, Scotland. He’s co-created five IPs (so far) and written for LEGO, Disney, Universal Studios, and Marvel.

Tanya Roberts is a comic book artist and illustrator, based in Edinburgh. She has created and drawn characters and layouts for Disney, Dreamworks, 2000AD, Netflix, and more.

Yasmeen Abdellatif

Yasmeen Abdellatif is a thriller writer of Palestinian descent. She has a BA in English and minors in Writing and Middle Eastern studies. Yasmeen writes stories that center the Muslim American experience and heavily feature Islamic traditions. Yasmeen is based in the Chicagoland area and enjoys exploring the city and spending time with her niece and nephews.

Chay Jon

Chay Jon is a children’s book author currently working on his debut middle-grade fantasy series. Chay graduated with a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism then briefly attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law before deciding to be a full-time daydreamer of magical creatures.
